Given limited resources, entrepreneurs need to be highly creative and resourceful. Specifically with websites, tools like WordPress have provided an uncomplicated way for new businesses to create amazing, professional websites to brand and help sell their product / service.

Now AI tools can help entrepreneurs create WordPress sites faster and easier than ever before with an extensive number of capabilities and automated tools that allow an entrepreneur to work as a team of people.

AI-powered tool examples:

  • You can generate beautiful and responsive themes based on your preferences and goals. For example, you can use Elementor, a popular WordPress plugin that uses AI to create stunning websites with drag-and-drop functionality.
  • DALL·E2 (Bing uses DALL·E2) allows an amateur to create amazing images like a professional artist to help provide eye-catching graphics for your WordPress site and BLOGS.
  • Content for your site such as BLOGS, headlines, and captions can be created in minutes by going to Microsoft’s Bing Copilot and asking it to create engaging SEO-friendly content based on themes and queries. Ensure you check the content for accuracy, as the current generation of language models is subject to hallucinations! 
  • There are marketing tools to optimize your WordPress site for conversions and growth. For example, you can use OptinMonster, an AI-powered lead generation tool to create personalized pop-ups, banners, and forms for your WordPress site.
  • AI- powered chatbots are extremely versatile and allow you to use the content of your site or documents as sources of information to draw upon to create answers to your potential customers’ questions.
  • You can’t find a plug-in that exactly matches your needs for your site? Get ChatGPT to write the code for a custom plug-in. Describe exactly what you want and ChatGPT will write the appropriate code. You may have to occasionally update the code to match the updates of WordPress and theme you are using for your site.

One of many challenges that an entrepreneur faces when starting a business is lack of resources. In the digital age, this barrier has been softening. The Internet, open-source software, and 3-D printing have made it so much easier to tackle business ideas that once could only be accomplished by large organizations with deep pockets.

AI is catapulting us forward by providing us tools that reduce the initial HR expenses we once needed to invest in to launch a business, especially in operations / admin. Most of these tools cost money but are a fraction of the cost of hiring someone. Microsoft’s Power Platform is one of the more well-known, low-code suite of tools, providing incredible versatility in operations design and implementation.  Microsoft has a YouTube channel dedicated to teaching how to best use the various programs and within the channel has links to other channels that focus on each individual app.

AI innovations have been moving at an insane pace. OpenAI/ Microsoft, Google/ DeepMind, Meta, Hugging Face, and IBM have been grabbing the headlines but most of the truly mind-blowing breakthrough apps have been happening quietly off to the side and only known to those in the industry or the AI enthusiasts.

Hiding our heads in the sand about AI is not an option unless you wish to become obsolete in the workforce. AI will affect every industry and every job. The change will be swift, so it is necessary to get on YouTube and start learning!

Over the coming weeks, I will be posting my resource recommendations to help the community of small businesses and entrepreneurs ATTEMPT to keep current with the fastest revolution I have ever seen in my 30 years in tech.

Cooperative Learning…For Robots

When we were first developing our ISP, Internet Express, back in 1994, we had a heck of a time trying to convince people that there was a future with the web, now the World can’t see a future without it.

The Internet has brought the human species closer together in many respects. Information is available at our fingertips, and we are able to share ideas with people around the World. We have the potential to be well informed and educate ourselves to be better citizens of this World to help build society.

Can the same be done for robots? Funny question but there are scientists actually looking at creating an INTERNET for robots. I would imagine it would be more like a P2P file sharing network but the creators are basically looking at a way to connect robots to a network so programmers and the robots themselves can share ideas and access programs to enhance the performance and interaction of robots.

I would imagine this would enable an open source movement to flourish for the evolution of robots but at the same time I am sure pay apps could be developed for specific functions. As robots become more part of our lives with companies like iROBOT offering low cost consumer robot appliances, there may be a whole new industry for app developers, similar to what we have been seeing in the mobile world.
